Summary of Business

Toyo University will establish the Faculty of Environmental Innovation and the Graduate School of Environmental Innovation at its Kawagoe Campus in April 2027. Through education and research grounded in environmental science, the Faculty and Graduate School will address environmental challenges arising from social change and contribute to the realization of a sustainable society by integrating digital technologies, data science, and interdisciplinary approaches. Their education and research are built around two key areas: “Environmental Creation,” which uses environmental and digital technologies to plan and design a sustainable society, and “Science Communication,” which promotes collaboration and co-creation among diverse stakeholders by communicating scientific knowledge and data in accessible ways. By making use of the rich natural environment of the Kawagoe Campus and its environmentally conscious new building, and through experiential learning and collaboration with local communities, businesses, and government organizations, the Faculty and Graduate School aim to develop professionals who can contribute to the realization of a sustainable green and digital society.
