Summary of Business

Founded in January 1972, Eiwa Kogyo Co., Ltd. is a company specializing in the manufacturing and sales of decorative metalwork known as “wrought iron,” including gates and fences. Based in Inazawa City, Aichi Prefecture, the company has consistently pursued craftsmanship that emphasizes both design quality and product excellence for over 50 years since its establishment.

Wrought iron is a metalworking technique that originated from traditional hand-forged craftsmanship developed in Europe. Iron is heated in a furnace until it glows red, then shaped through processes such as hammering, stretching, and bending to create a wide variety of forms. Unlike machine-based forming, this handcraft method allows artisans a high degree of freedom in expression, enabling intricate twists and flowing curves. As a result, wrought iron products possess a distinctive texture, warmth, and a solid, dignified presence unique to this craft.

These qualities inherent to wrought iron have been highly valued, and our products have been widely adopted in the architectural field, particularly for custom-built homes where clients seek exterior elements with a strong sense of individuality and design. From the initial design stage, we place equal importance on aesthetics and functionality, delivering decorative metalwork that harmonizes with architectural concepts and spatial design. Through this approach, we have built a strong track record over many years.

At our company, all processes—from design and engineering to fabrication, finishing, and sales—are handled under an integrated in-house system. By accumulating skilled craftsmanship and design expertise internally, we are able to respond flexibly to detailed requests and fully customized orders. In addition, our extensive experience enables us to make appropriate proposals regarding materials and manufacturing methods, ensuring stable quality and a high level of reproducibility in our products.

In recent years, we have also focused on information sharing through Instagram, primarily led by younger staff members. By showcasing completed works and production processes, we communicate the appeal of wrought iron and our dedication to craftsmanship to a wider audience. While adapting to changes in the times, we continue to value the artisanal skills and design philosophy cultivated since our founding, and remain committed to creating products of lasting value.

Moving forward, we will continue to build upon traditional wrought iron techniques while actively exploring new materials and expressions. Through the creation of decorative metalwork that adds depth and character to architecture and spaces, we aim to contribute meaningfully to society.
