AKITA COI-NEXT (AKITA PREFECTURAL UNIVERSITY)
Akita COI-NEXT is a research and innovation project under JST’s COI-NEXT program, led by Akita Prefectural University with 24 partner institutions. We introduce “Akita Mokumaru,” a super compact BEV made with a wood-fiber composite resin derived from Akita cedar. As a mobile vision model, the vehicle embodies the social implementation of our research and reconnects everyday life with the forest.

This exhibition will showcase and demonstrate a resource-sorting AI application that incorporates gamification. The targeted materials are mixed paper and children’s favorite plastic candy wrappers. The application employs our original image recognition AI (ADFI), designed to deliver highly accurate sorting results even with a limited amount of training image data.

Sadamisaki Peninsula citrus growers (Ehime, Japan). Our booth shows Decarbonization / Regenerative Agriculture / Zero-Carbon Farming as one loop: pruned branches → biochar → better soils → resilient orchards.
